The structure of the residency is designed around the space we have established to host artists, curators, writers, and art researchers. It is a place where they can meet and develop individual and/or collaborative explorations that are useful for their practice. In this sense, our residency house is more than just accommodation; it is a gathering space from which processes are initiated and shared with various sectors of the community. However, it is not a space for exhibitions as such, but rather an open environment for experimentation, offering the conditions of a laboratory.
The call is open year-round, and participants are selected by a committee composed of members of the team. The minimum residency period is 6 weeks, and each session typically hosts between 3 and 5 residents.
Open Studio & Presentation
The program acknowledges that the residency experience has medium-to-long-term effects on artists' practices, while also valuing its immediate outcomes. As such, an Open Studio event will be held during the residency, showcasing the work of one or more participating artists.
A dedicated venue will be selected to complement and engage with each artistic investigation, facilitating dialogue between the resident's production and the local art scene. This event will serve as a platform to present, discuss, and connect ongoing or completed projects with curators, fellow artists, and the broader cultural community.
